Relaunch of the Windows Live Messenger Portal. Addressing a new target group with focus on gaming and entertainment. The communication and increase of download numbers.

Implementation

Neue Digitale / Razorfish developed a step-based website concept for the benefit of a specific target group. In this way the portal offers content and information which is individually tailored to a user segment. The 10 – 14 year old age group is catered for with the Mini Messenger site. In focus: the gaming character. The Starter site is aimed at parents and offers information on the Messenger tool, including dos and don’ts, along with web security. To achieve a personalized campaign message, Neue Digitale / Razorfish also developed a stage and teaser concept as well as a toolkit of promotion templates.

Conclusion

A Messenger portal that grows with the user. It individually addresses users from 14 – 49 years old with a new design, intelligent content planning and a target group focused campaign mechanic. Credibility and security are communicated with extensive information. Brand values are boosted in the new young gamer target group. Tailor made websites for specific content. Intuitive to use and innovatively produced.
