Brigitte.de combines editorial content with user generated content
Frankfurt am Main, 10th February 2009 – millions of Brigitte readers can be happy – Germany’s leading women’s portal has a shiny new online look. The Brigitte.de portal redesigned completely in design, concept and information architecture by Neue Digitale / Razorfish now combines editorial content with user generated content. The portal is enriched with the community www.bfriends.de and the BYM WG as well as various tools based on the topics of beauty, fashion and family such as “wardrobe”, “shoe traffic lights” and “baby name finder”.
„Gruner + Jahr proves it has the courage to step off the beaten track with the integration of user generated content and Brigitte brand editorial. Therefore we see the online projects at Brigitte not as single entities, but rather as an integral user-centered approach”, explained Andreas Gahlert, CEO at Neue Digitale / Razorfish.
Visitors to www.brigitte.de can more easily get to grips with the site through the combination of editorial and user generated content, a fun and interlaced navigation, as well as a modern design. They can also read content on the portal and exchange thoughts with other users via the online community bfriends which is integrated with Brigitte.de. Users can jump back and forth between the areas, both reading content and also actively contributing.
In the revamp of www.brigitte.de Neue Digitale / Razorfish was not just responsible for concept and design, but was also heavily involved in the initial strategic consultancy for the relaunch. The technical implementation of the Brigitte portal, including the Bfriends community, was taken on by the hmmh multimediahaus AG and TWT Interactive GmbH agencies. The realization was based on the concept and design ideas from Neue Digitale / Razorfish.
Further inclusions are the Brigitte tools for choosing clothes and outfits (wardrobe), shoe advice (shoe traffic lights) and a baby name finder for parents-to-be.
The digital project pallet is rounded off with the BYM WG, a successful social network in the form of a flat share. The community, where the user can set up a virtual flat share, is also part of the Brigitte family, addressing a younger target group than the social network bfriends. Neue Digitale / Razorfish were not only responsible for the concept and design of the community, but also the technical implementation.
„With the Brigitte packet we were able to tap our expertise across the whole spectrum of digital marketing and demonstrate our competence in the areas of User Experience Design, Social Media and Tools & Applications“ explained Andreas Gahlert.
