Neue Digitale / Razorfish wins Akbank
Together with technology partner Microsoft, Neue Digitale / Razorfish is building an intuitive online platform for a leading Turkish bank.
With the win of the pitch at Turkey's Akbank, Neue Digitale / Razorfish, Frankfurt, has now won another international customer. Together with Microsoft, the Frankfurt-based agency beat the competition, which included teams from Boston Consulting Group, IBM, Accenture and Oracle. The agency will now be designing and rebuilding the online platforms for retail and corporate clients from scratch for the global website of the Turkish bank with its headquarters in Istanbul. With intuitive design, improved user interface and new tools, the bank intends to retain existing customers and expand its online business. The goal is clearly defined: Akbank wants to position itself as a leader of innovation in the Turkish financial services market. This is what Neue Digitale / Razorfish and Microsoft will ensure together with their concept.
"Customers' banking behaviour is undergoing rapidly changes in Turkey," says Gokay Dede, SVP of Alternative Delivery Channels at Akbank. "Currently, we have observed that more than 2 million Akbank customers only use our online platform and over two-thirds of all transactions are done online - and counting." The bank wants to take ad-vantage of these trends for further growth.
Besides the design and structure of the web platform, Neue Digitale / Razorfish will also be developing customer-oriented applications such as the 'Budget Planner' or 'Visual Cards'. These tools simplify accounts and transaction management and accel-erate access to account information.
The Akbank is another international client for Neue Digitale / Razorfish and the Frank-furt office, led by Kai Greib, Tom Acland and Elke Klinkhammer, will be responsible for managing the account.
