Neue Digitale / Razorfish grows with new clients

 - Revenue growth in double digits of just under 15 Million Euros
- New clients: Crytek, Novartis, SEAT, British Postal Service
- Growth in the rate of non-digital business

Frankfurt, March 18th, 2010 –  Neue Digitale / Razorfish wins two new clients: The team in Frankfurt will implement several digital projects in 2010 for Crytek – one of the leading worldwide videogame developers and maker of the well-known game classics Far Cry and Crisis. Furthermore, Novartis – the most profitable pharmaceutical business group in the German health sector – have commissioned Neue Digitale / Razorfish with the development of innovative strategic digital projects.

Overall Andreas Gahlert, CEO of Neue Digitale / Razorfish can look back on a successful year 2009. Neue Digitale / Razorfish increased revenue by almost 20 percent and with 136 employees turned over almost 15 million Euros. In addition to the expansion of the business with long-standing key clients such as Audi, McDonald’s and Nintendo, the new client SEAT Deutschland for whom Neue Digitale / Razorfish took on the role of lead agency from summer 2009 is largely responsible for the expansion.

“Growth drivers as well as new business is the broad Service offer of the agency” explained Andreas Gahlert. The specialist disciplines Mobile Marketing, Connections Planning, Social Media and Multitouch have especially enjoyed numerous requests from clients. This led to Neue Digitale / Razorfish implementing several multitouch applications for Sparkasse, Audi and WincorNixdorf. The social media team proved itself in 2009 with existing clients, for example securing the social media lead for Melitta.

Pocketframes, the mobile marketing unit from Neue Digitale / Razorfish has managed to build its business by 40 percent in the five years that it has belonged to the agency. The team, led by Mobile Director Henning Ralf, worked on projects for clients such as AOL, ebay, BILD-Mobil, Audi and McDonald's in 2009, and is currently working on the concept for the mobile portal for the British Postal service.

The proportion of offline activities rose significantly in 2009. Whereby ND/R in 2006 was purely an internet specialist, 2009 saw a large increase in multichannel campaigns and strategies which extend beyond the digital channels. “We have established that the clients increasingly look to us as the primary contractor to lead their brand in the digital world. The digital DNA and digital experience, the know-how from the Razorfish network as well as the high quality levels from employees provides us with the basis for this”, said Andreas Gahlert, CEO Neue Digitale / Razorfish.

The team at the Berlin office, under the leadership of Sven Küster, Sascha Martini and Mathias Sinn indicates an above average growth of 40 percent. The almost 50 strong team achieved this growth completely from current clients Audi and McDonalds. A current example of this work is the integrated campaign for the Audi A1.

With the new business Neue Digitale / Razorfish has expanded its team and and filled key roles in creation and consultancy: new on board are Group Account Director Jörg Saalwächter (32) as well as Associate Creative Director Christian Bartsch (30). Rolf Borcherding (39) has been promoted to Creative Director following many years at Neue Digitale / Razorfish. The agency currently has approx. 20 positions vacant.
