Neue Digitale / Razorfish launches Green Agency initiative
Frankfurt am Main, 21st July 2009 – save energy, reduce co2 emissions, protect the environment: Neue Digitale / Razorfish sets out targeted measures to produce a “green agency”.
The newly founded initiative includes using Greenpeace electricity and LED lamps as well as asking staff to pay attention to their electricity usage and co2 emissions. These efforts from individuals are supported with efficient hardware, for example printers and PCs which use less electricity.
A team, known as the „Green Fish“, is to explore the topic of protecting the environment and develop ideas and measures for a “green agency”. The suggestions and developments are communicated by the team in an internal newsletter. At the same time, all Neue Digitale / Razorfish staff are asked to think about how electricity or heating costs could be reduced, or how lighting in the agency could be optimized. Each month the „Green Fish“ nominate a „green hero of the month“ – someone who has shown particular commitment in contributing to a greener agency.
The initiative has been well received by existing Neue Digitale / Razorfish staff as well as new applicants and will continue to be developed further along these lines.
